Did I mention my friends are so talented?

So recently my dear friend Abazaba aka abbie sent me a few pics of jewelry she has made. I was totally impressed, as you all know turquoise is my fave! Abbie and I were roommates freshman year in college and had SO many fun times.
We also became interior design majors together for that short time, thus we took a few classes together. One in particular I remember was Visual Design. We had a blast and got to do quite a few cool projects, including the one where she sliced her finger open with an xacto knife (yeah not so fun). Anyway, our friendship has stayed strong, even though we both transferred schools and haven't even seen each other since the Cardinals won the world series. For those of you who don't know that was like almost five years ago! So yeah it has been way too long! She hasn't even met my kiddo!!!! I think maybe a "I'm sorry I haven't seen you in so long" present should be sent my way, like one of these pieces of jewelry! JUST KIDDING!! I should just stand outside her door with a sign that says, "will work for jewelry."

Personally I am partial to no. 4! What do you guys think? She is good right?! Who would have thought the girl that would shower in the stall next to mine (ugh hated community floor bathrooms!) and sing rounds of Row Row Row Your Boat would be so talented!? (I totally knew she was talented, I just knew she needed to get out of pre-med like ASAP!) Anyway, as usual I am impressed by my many talented friends! Love you friends!

reclaimed wood sign

So here is another reclaimed piece of wood, turned sign! I was surfing the blogosphere and came across this sign via

I thought it was super cute. If you google flow chart of happiness there are tons of sites that feature this sign! Months ago I came across a piece of wood destined for the dumpster. Dumpster diver to the rescue, I saved it! For months I had no clue what I wanted it for, but I took the nails that were jutting out dangerously, sanded it down, and waited for inspiration to come. After seeing this sign, I thought yes, I do think I will! so here it is, my flow chart of happiness!
I think it will be super cute among my odd little painting collection. It's silly, and I like silly! Anyway, this may be my last blog for a few weeks. The movers are here, and sadly the computer will be packed tomorrow :-( There is no telling when internet will get set up when we get to Minnesota, but hopefully not that long! Anyway stay happy!
