full weekend

So I'm not feeling very chatty today, so I will make this short and sweet! I have been busy all weekend long cleaning and cooking, and obsessively watching all eight episodes of Shameless that have played so far, and of course crafting! My fingers are DISGUSTING blue and cracking because I decided to dye an old HUMONGOUS rug that was covered in stains. They are cracking because in order to dye you have to use huge amounts of salt and this does a number on my fingers. You'd think I wear gloves but gloves irritate me more than blue cracking fingers. Good news is so far nothing on the rug has unraveled, but it still has to dry and then I plan on doin a few more things to it.

I also painted an old frame off white, weathered it, and then turned it into my own personal earring stand.

I also tried my hand at making my own earrings. Here is one of the pairs I made...

He was fun to make BUT I didn't have the right tools, so it was quite frustrating, and that it is putting it lightly. I may not turn jewelry making into a frequent hobby...

I also turned an old table into a turquoise dream of mine. Although I am quite disappointed with the pictures, I am telling you I have no clue how to capture the true color of an object on film (or digital card whatever).

Still random accesories but that is what I had laying out still, everything else decorative has gone into boxes...So for those of you who don't know I am in the process of moving to Minnesota. I just put in my sixty days notice of relocation with the court (child custody ridiculousness). My attorney doesn't think I should have any problems whatsoever with getting to move so I have started sorting through and packing! Anyway the last project of the weekend was a quilt rack, which I think will turn out fantastic, but it is not finished yet, so more pictures later. Anyway gonna go cook some din-din and then watch the ninth episode of Shameless! STEVEN IS SOOOO SEXY! (just thought I'd share that with ya!) Hope everyone has a great Monday!
