gotta love today!

Today had been a wonderful day, despite the rain! Addy and I went for a drive, trying to locate a thrift store to try and scavenge supplies when I came across a store with pallets sitting outside. (I have been looking for pallets for a craft) I called the store and they said they didn't in fact own the pallets and were not sure who they belonged to so they didn't think I should take them. So saddened, I drove another block further only to find another store with pallets outside. I pulled in to the parking lot right as the store owner was walking out. I rolled my window down and asked if he owned the pallets and he said yes, so I then asked if I could pay him for two. He said absolutely not, you can have them for free! WOOOOOOOOOO so excited at this point. So I set out picking up these very heavy and awkward pallets in order to find the two in the best shape. When I hauled over the first I realized my poor lil car trunk wouldn't fit even one. So I decided I would drive it home with my trunk open (totally hoosier I know but who hasn't done this at least once in their lifetime?) As I was loading the first in my car the man came out of the store with four huge bouquets of flowers FOR ME! How sweet is that?! He said he owned the wholesale flower shop and since these had bloomed he couldn't sell them, so they were mine!

I successfully got the first and second pallet home with no splinters or broken boards, (or for that matter any catastrophes of flying pallets out of my opened trunk)! Popped these babies in a vase and can't help but feel like today there has to be more good in the world then bad! Anyway I love Tuesdays and am now going to go in search for the thrift store again!
